New Holland was founded in 1895 by Abe Zimmerman in Pennsylvania and in 1917 the first tractor was built. 1918 became the prominent year for New Holland with the launch of the agricultural tractor built on industrial scale, the Fiat Model 702 Tractor, and won the international Ploughing Contest in Senlis, France. 1937 brought the first automatic self-tie baler and years later introduced other agriculture tools like the first Haybine™ mower-conditioner, skid steer loaders, twin-rotor combine, roll-belt round baler, Precision Land Management (PLM), and more.
